About Katie
Katie (Katherine) Ploeger is a published writer, independent editor, publisher, teacher/trainer, writing coach and script consultant.
She has been self-publishing nonfiction books since 1980, now with more than 34 titles. She also has written five books, published by traditional publishers, along with articles and her blog.
With her MA in English-Composition, she has taught university writing classes since 1994, along with private workshops on a variety of topics.
Ploeger coaches writers and self-publishers on their book and article projects, along with businesses on their written materials. She has critiqued and edited book manuscripts, textbook manuscripts, master’s theses, curriculum, and more.
Ploeger is also a screenwriter, with several script contest wins, and a Master’s in Fine Arts in Screenwriting from Chapman University (Orange, CA) 2005. She coaches screenwriters on their writing, reads and evaluates scripts for studios and production companies, and does full script evaluations for screenwriters, receiving great comments from clients for her thorough and fair critiques.
